Outreach and education programs for water recycling have always required a high level of craft in order to win public confidence, communicate complicated science, and build enthusiasm for a multi-benefit solution.
Public outreach has made the difference in getting Florida where it is today: recycling 34 percent of its wastewater compared to the national average of about 7 percent. But new challenges loom ahead: the next round of public outreach must respond to record-setting growth and new direct potable reuse rulemaking. Join us on May 20 to hear case studies from across the state that bear lessons for the next wave of education programs nationwide.
